Haʻikū Elementary School

Haʻikū Elementary School is located in beautiful Haʻikū , Maui, home of big wave surfing at Peʻahi/Jaws, the mission of Haʻikū School is that all members of the school community work together to create a learning environment which challenges and encourages all students to strive for academic excellence so they may become contributing, empowered and fulfilled members of our society.  Our Principal is Karen Walker. Haʻikū School PTA

The Haʻikū School PTA is a 100% volunteer-based organization run by parents, teachers, and the Haʻikū community.  We focus on enhancing and enriching the learning experience and lives of our students, teachers, staff and families through enrichment programs, funded by the Haʻikū Hoʻolauleʻa and Flower Festival.  The festival is the primary fundraiser for Haʻikū School PTA, which receives a majority of the funds raised.  For more information or to get involved, email us haikuschoolpta@gmail.com or call (808) 575-3004.

Haʻikū Boys and Girls Club

The Haʻikū Boys & Girls Club (HBGC) has over 250 registered members and averages 65+ youths daily. We are located on the Hana Highway in the Haʻikū Community Center (next to Haʻikū Elementary School, Pauwela Road). Haʻikū Boys and Girls Club is about providing a safe, inviting and enriching environment. Along with the programs listed below, we have various guest speakers, special events, and field trips always happening at the club.  HBGC receives proceeds from the Haʻikū Hoʻolauleʻa to supplement their programs. Haʻikū Community Association

The Haʻikū Community Association (HCA) serves to educate and inform the citizens of the North Shore area of Maui, Hawaiʻi about issues and activities of concern to our community. It is an all-volunteer membership organization.  The HCA is also engaged in an ongoing effort to survey the community for public input and reaction regarding activities, trends, organizations, and events that have an impact on the community.  HCA receives proceeds from the Haʻikū Hoʻolauleʻa which we use to fund various grant requests.  The HCA hosts the Kalakupua Playground Committee, which is working on maintaining the playground at Giggle Hill in Haʻikū.  To get involved, call us at (808) 435-3020 or email us at haikucommunitypm@gmail.com. Haʻikū Living Legacy Project

The Haʻikū Living Legacy Project (HLLP) is a nonprofit organization, whose purpose is to preserve and perpetuate the historical legacy unique to the area known as Haʻikū. Historically the Haʻikū area has included communities such as Haʻikū, Halehaku, Honopou, Huelo, Kailua, Kaupakulua, Kokomo, Kuiaha, Maliko, Pauwela and Peʻahi.  The HLLP does not receive funds from the Haʻikū Hoʻolauleʻa, but serves as a historical component to the festival.

Haʻikū Elementary School Foundation

The Haiku Elementary School Foundation, founded in 2013, is an organization of supportive community members whose vision is to provide funds for facility improvement projects at Haʻikū Elementary School.  We are also able to support some of the facility needs of the Haʻikū Hoʻolauleʻa.
