Haiku Community Association & the Festival’s Community Living Tent
The Haiku Ho’olaule’a & Flower Festival is just around the corner! Our Community Living Tent is a wonderful way you can participate in the festival and share about your business or non-profit. Here’s Jennifer Livingston, Haiku Community Association President, with more about this great opportunity:
What inspired you to be part of the HHFF? How many years have you been attending and/or volunteering at the festival?
I am inspired to help facilitate the Ha’iku Living Tent and participate in this beautiful community celebration because our connections and our support of one another is essential to our happiness and well being. The event does the community a lot of good in both tangible and intangible ways and I am honored to play some small role in that. I have lived on Maui for 5 years, enjoyed the Ho’olaulea each year and participated on behalf of the HCA the last two years.
Any special contributors that you’d like to mention?
Mike Gagne for his unfailing and steady support of his community.
Why do you love the HHFF?
I love the HHFF because its a time to play with all your friends, celebrate your community, do some good and have some fun.
Any other thoughts you’d like to share?
It’s celebrations and group efforts like these that make a community whole and cohesive.
Mahalo for your time! We appreciate you, Jennifer, and all of our other amazing festival volunteers. If you’d like to help with the Haiku Ho’olaule’a & Flower Festival the day of the event, sign-up here or call 808-727-3750. #PeaceLoveHaiku
